307 South Main as it appeared in 1955 after a fire gutted the building. The building was built in 1821.

Located across from the Visitor's Center in historic St. Charles MO, Main Street Books is a locally owned independent bookstore and is the perfect setting to find that special book for every occasion. We specialize in St. Charles' local history and guidebooks, Western history (including Civil War and Lewis and Clark) and children's books, but our store inventory includes all categories. We also host two book clubs each month and frequent special events.
Main Street Books was formerly located in the historic Collier Cottage at 621 S Main, St Charles Missouri.

BOOK LAUNCH! SEW DEADLY
